VERY IMPORTANT: Although
a good part of this trip is in a very comfortable
4x4 Vehicle, in order to full fill 100% of
the program, it exist same excursions in which
we will cover distances on foot overall on
the exploration days in the area of the Sajama
National Park. The program includes visits
to archaeological sites and Colonial constructions
such as the Curaguara de Carangas Colonial
Church.

The program of this plan is a combination of
TRIP 01 together its different plans and TRIP 02,
and covers a complete journey through the Bolivian
altiplano, beginning in the north with La Paz, following
the Central at Sajama National Park in Oruro also
the Salt Flat of Uyuni and Coipasa (3.800 m), and
in the south Bolivia. Lipez Region, In addition
there will be an excursion to the base camp of the
Ollague Volcano (5.885 m), and a visit to the Colonial
city of Potosi, Cultural Patrimony of humanity.

ULLA
ULLA NATIONAL PARK - RUINS OF ISKANWAY |
Important:
This operations has similar
characteristic to those of the Sajama
National Park excursions and exploration
to the pre-Columbian ruins of Iskanwaya,
will be undertaken by foot.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Ulla
- Ulla National Park lies 281 km. to
the north-west of La Paz and is one
of the largest natural reserve of Vicunas
and other Cameloids. It is also a staying
point of migrating birds. Our journey
continues with a visit to Aukapata (2600
m), a small village, constructed in
the Old Spanish style.

A
fascinating place to visit, as we continue our
trip, are the pre-Columbian ruins of Iskanwaya
at 1.700 m, which belong to the Mollo Culture.
Their city was at the top of the cliff between
the Tiwanaku and Inca times, and has been called
"The night Living City" by archaeologist-
These admirable ruins feature a perfect water
distribution center, the ruins are surrounded
by other archaeological remains such as Mamakhoru,
khari, Pukanwaya, Pukarhilla and Palla Yunga,
which can by visited as well. |
