POTOSI PATRIMONY OF THE HUMANITY

Potosi declared "Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity" by UNESCO is one of the oldest cities in America. In colonial times it was the largest center of Silver production in the world. It's population exceed that of London, and is economic activity equaled that of the most developed cities of Europe.

Potosi is also reknowned fort its preservation of many buildings and churches of baroque style, such as the Santo Domingo church, the Cathedral, and "La Casa de la Moneda" where coins were minted from the silver of the "Cerro Rico de Potosi" for using all over Spanish America.

SCHEDULE:
DAY 01: Arrival to El Alto international airport (4.000 m) transfer TIN airport– hotel (3.600 m). Night Hotel.
DAY 02: City tour visit to the Valley of the Moon (3.350 m). Night hotel.
DAY 03: Half – day excursion to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku (3.842 m.) AFTERNOON: Journey to the village of Huatajata (3.810 m). Night hotel.
DAY 04: Since the village of Huatajata (3.810 m), on the shores of lake Titikaka, motorboat cruise on the lake, stopover at island of the Sun and Moon disembarkment at the village of Copacabana

DAY 05: MORNING.- Tour in Copacabana, including a visit to the pre–columbian site of Intikala and La Orca del Inca. AFTERNOON: After lunch return to La Paz. Night Hotel.
DAY 06: Transfer T-OUT hotel airport non-stop flight since La Paz to Sucre transfer T–IN airport hotel. AFTERNOON City tours. Night hotel.
DAY 07: (UPON REQUEST ON SUNDAYS ONLY) walking tour of Sucre or trip to the Indian market of the village of Tarabuco. Return to Sucre. Night Hotel.

DAY 08: Journey through a variedly of landscapes including valley, oasis, canyons, along the Easter range to arrive at the Colonial city of Potosí (4.100 m ). Night in hotel.
DAY 09: MORNING: 09:00 – 11:00 a.m. visit to the Paillaviri mine.
AFTERNOON: 14:30 – 17:00 p.m. visit the museum La Casa de la Moneda. Night in a hotel
DAY 10: MORNING: Walking in the city of Potosí, AFTERNOON: Free. Night Hotel.
DAY 11: Journey from Potosí through wonderful landscapes such as oasis and impressive canyons to arrive in Uyuni. Total activity half day. AFTERNOON: Rest and night hotel.
DAY 12: Departure from Uyuni 10:00 am. by exclusive vehicle transport cross the salty flat of Uyuni and excursion to the Incahuasi Island and camping in Jirira. Night refuge or return to Uyuni Hotel.
DAY 13: Early morning return journey from Jirira trip to Oruro, approximately 6 hours by jeep. Night Hotel.
DAY 14: Arrival to La Paz city transfer to the hotel. Free day. Night Hotel.
DAY 15: Transfer to airport. T-OUT.
