This mountain is separated from the Condoriri group by the Liviñosa and Zongo rivers "Huayna Potosi" comes from Quechua Aymara term which means "Young Potosi". Mt. Huayna Potosi was scaled for the first time in 1.919 by the Germans Dienst and Schulze. It is an easy climb by way of its normal route. Its highest elevation is the northern peak (6,088 m), and the southern peak reaches (6,035 m). Technically speaking, it presents a medium level difficulty and ideal for climbers with medium experience. It is one of the most preferred destinations for mountain climbers.

Those who reach the summit are rewarded with a magnificent panorama of Lake Titikaka. The Royal Range, and the immense La Paz is High plateau.

SCHEDULE:
DAY 01: Departure from La Paz by vehicle transport for 2 hours, arrival to Zongo lagoon (4.700 m), the base camp. Night camping.
DAY 02: Ascent to the high camp (5.200 m), for about 3 hours with support of porters to camp you arrives without difficulty crampons it is only you need and to this altitude asleep better Night camping.
DAY 03: Ascent to the summit (6.088 m), begins at 3 a.m. good equipment needed to the summit
the route is moderately difficult with small steps difficult and 200 mts final is 50°grad of inclination and the guide should install very sure fixed rope. After summit descend on to the base camp at 4.700 m. Total activity for about 12 hours. By vehicle transport return to La Paz in 2 hours Arrival to your hotel. End of our services.
