(MORE INFORMATION DSE 11) - SUD LIPEZ - COLONIAL POTOSI

The program of this plan is a combination of TRIP 01 together its different plans and TRIP 02, and covers a complete journey through the Bolivian altiplano, beginning in the north with La Paz, following the Central at Sajama National Park in Oruro also the Salt Flat of Uyuni and Coipasa (3.800 m), and in the south Bolivia. Lipez Region, In addition there will be an excursion to the base camp of the Ollague Volcano (5.885 m), and a visit to the Colonial city of Potosi, Cultural Patrimony of humanity.

SCHEDULE:
DAY 01: Departure from La Paz by vehicle transport to the Sajama National Park; journey through Bolivia is high plateau (4.000 m), arrival to the village of Sajama. Night camping. Total activity approximately 10 hours.
DAY 02: Exploration day in Sajama National Park (4.000 m). Night camping.
DAY 03: Exploration day in Sajama National Park (4.000 m), night camping near hot spring.
DAY 04: Journey across the central altiplano (4.000 m), arrive To the salt flat of Coipasa (3.800 m), Night camping.
DAY 05: Crossing of the Coipasa salt flat to arrive at the great Uyuni Salt flat (3.660 m) 10.000 km. sq., with a depth of 130 meters, camping on Pescado Island.
SUD LIPEZ REGION:
DAY 06: Continue trip on the village of San Juan (3.800 m), night camping.
OLLAGUE VOLCANO:
DAY 07: Excursion the still active Ollague volcano by vehicle transport to the base camp (5.400 m). Night camping.
DAY 08: Journey across the Salty lagoons of: Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkhota, Honda and Ramaditas, then to the Siloli desert; arrival to the Colorada lagoon (4.200 m). Night camping.

DAY 09: Excursion to the Sol de la Mañana Geysers (4.800 m), then arrival to the Verde lagoon (4.600 m). Night camping.
DAY 10 / 11: Return journey to Uyuni village (3.660 m), last night at hotel.
CULTURAL POTOSÍ (4.100 MTS.)
DAY 12: Journey to the Colonial city of Potosí. Night hotel.
DAY 13: MORNING: Visit the Paillaviri mine. AFTERNOON: Visit the museum La Casa de la Moneda. Night Hotel.
DAY 14: Long return trip to La Paz, arrival at your hotel and end our services.

VERY IMPORTANT:

Light rucksack./ Sleeping bag able to withstand temperatures to – 20 oC for auto trips on the high plateau, and light sleeping bah for the tropical zone./ Respective mats and insulated pad./ Cold protective jacket and sweaters./ Cold protective globes./ Rain protective globes for tropical sites./ Good leather shoes./ Good trekking boots for the OOT 04 – PLAN OOT – 05./ Wool socks for high lands.
